It was a sad day at the farm yesterday when the final boards came down from our 100 year old shed. Our insurance company forced us to tear down our old shed that’s sole purpose in life was to look cute and hold up a few plants. With some help from Bruce’s brother, we carefully salvaged as much wood as we could to be repurposed (to be seen in future posts!). We did find a few treasures inside including, a bed with old metal head and foot boards, planter boxes, metal pulleys and several mystery items. It makes you wonder what was happening in that shed 100 years ago, with its wooden floorboards and lodgepole structural system. And now faced with weird looking clearing in our yard, we are brainstorming what will fill the void. Needless to say, it can’t possibly be as awesome as the shed. We’ll keep you posted though!
