All of our lavender bud comes from our lavender which is harvested by hand at the peak time during the summer here in Sequim, Washington.  Our prime location in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountain Range allows us to provide you with the highest quality lavender bud.  Our lavender bunches are dried for 3-4 weeks in our almost century year old barn.  Our barn with old wood sides provides the ideal space for drying lavender; the barn allows almost no light in while allowing air to flow through the gaps in the old wood. Once the lavender is dried we debud our lavender in our custom made debudding machine.  Once the lavender is debudded we run it through our famous “Jitter Bud” machine.  The Jitter Bud is a 1950’s seed sorting machine that runs the lavender bud through a series of five screens removing different sized dirt and debris.  We run all of our lavender through the Jitter Bud three times to ensure the best quality lavender bud on the market.
