2 Liter Lavender Jalapeño Limeade Recipe

  • 4 tablespoons Angustifolia lavender bud
(Do NOT use French lavender—it will not taste pleasant)

  • 2 liter container
  • Medium sized pot or saucepan with lid

Pro Tip:

Instructions

Step 1

Place approximately 4 cups of water in a saucepan or pot with a lid. Add the agave syrup, lavender buds, and thinly sliced jalapeño. Give the mixture a light stir.

Step 2

Place the pot over high heat with the lid on until it starts to boil. Once boiling, reduce to low heat and let it boil (covered) for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Turn off the heat and move the pot to a cool burner. Let it sit for 45–60 minutes.

The goal is to allow the steam inside the pot to cool, condense, and return to the liquid—enhancing the lavender and jalapeño flavors.

Step 4

Once cooled, place a fine mesh colander over a medium bowl. Pour the mixture through the colander so the solids are separated and the liquid is collected.

Step 5

Discard the lavender buds and jalapeño slices. Add the lavender/agave mixture and 1 cup of fresh lime juice into a 2 liter container. Fill the remaining space with cold water or ice and stir well.

Step 6

You’re done! Pour over ice, relax, and enjoy the flavor.
